Therapy taught me to analyze the past and pointed to it as the source of my current misery, but coaching helped me see how my current thoughts create my emotions.
My feeling of loneliness and disconnection were created by my thoughts. They made me feel depressed or worthless, which caused me to hide.
“I’m fundamentally flawed.”
“There’s something wrong with me.”
“People wouldn’t like me if they knew me.”
I didn’t even realize I had these thoughts, yet they paralyzed me.
My coach taught me to notice the thoughts I didn’t want and how to create the thoughts I WANTED. It’s not easy to just “replace” the thoughts. But I have a step-by-step process, that works.
Why is it important to have intentional thoughts?
Because thoughts and feelings create actions, so if you want to change your actions, you have to change your thoughts.
There’s a lot of free information out there about changing your life. So, why haven’t you done that yet? Because if information is all it took, we would all have perfect health, relationships, and careers.
